This one is going to be in english since sometimes I just feel sorry for the people reading this with google translate.
With every passing day I am getting more scared and excited. Excited since the end is not so far anymore ( but far enough to not be in my eyesight yet) and I can’t wait to meet our little princess. Scared because ..well parenthood overall seems to be scary and sometimes I just question myself if I’m enough of an adult by now to handle all the responsabilities that come with a child. Luckily I have Bruno next to me who always makes me feel secure and reminds me that I can do it, we can do it!
Since my pregnant brain has a tendancy of forgetting things, I don’t know how much information I have given out in here, so I’m going to give a tiny overview now.
-As you can understand from the title of the post I’m currently 30 weeks pregnant
-Which means that my due date is scheduled to be on 23th of april ( but babies come when they want to, we all know that)
-Since I referred to the baby as our princess you can understand that it’s going to be a girl
Name: we figured out a name for the baby already quite some time ago. Now we just have to hope that she will look like it 😀
Baby movement: during some moments I have a feeling that the baby is trying to find an emergency exit..through my ribs..with her legs. Nevertheless I am happy to feel every single movement because it makes me feel assured that everything is going well for her
Baby measurements: since I had my last ultrasound in december and the next one will be next friday I can’t be really precise in here. However internet suggests that a 30 weeks old fetus is about 39 cm tall. I’m not going to speculate about the weight though 😀
Weight gained: since the last doctors visit I have gained 2 kg which makes it a total of 9 kg’s since the beginning of pregnancy
Fundal height ( not sure if it’s the correct term but I sure hope so) : 28 cm
Overall feeling– nausea is back ( luckily only with half of its power), my eye vision has went down so badly that without glasses I run around like a headless chicken, I can’t get up from the couch without some additional help from Bruno
Cravings– When I say that I want snickers ice cream, twix and marshmallows all at the same time then trust me that I am not kidding. When I say that I want to throw up later I’m not kidding either. Have to learn from my own mistakes 😀
Stretchmarks– Not yet and hopefully they won’t find their way to me either
Clothes– it seems that we have enough clothes to dress the baby until her 1st birthday but I know that we will get more because seriously..have you seen how cute baby clothes can be?
Baby room– We got all the furniture needed some time ago, now we just need to find the perfect appartment to have a room where to put it all!
Moving around: We got 1 infant car seat so now we need 1 more and future trips with car(s) can be safe. Why do we need 2 if we are only having 1 baby? Because we will be flying quite frequently between Estonia and France and taking an infant car seat to the plane acquires you also to buy a seperate seatplace for the baby. After doing some math we just found that buying 2 ( so 1 per country) will be a cheaper solution.
When it comes to the stroller then we found what we want ages ago. We also ordered it ages ago ( meaning 5 weeks). Unfortunately the delivery is being more than slow ( but luckily we are getting reimboursed a bit for their mistakes). We still have hope that it will arrive next week so I can see it with my own eyes before april
Probably I will do a few more posts about my pregnancy since I got one idea from Mirjam and I would also love to do a post when I’m in Estonia that would compare how pregnancies are being followed in France and in Estonia ( trust me that there is a big difference in the medical system). So try to bare with me and these posts
